International Move Coordinator


BASIC FUNCTION

This position is directly responsible for the performance of duties with the primary accountability being to effectively act as liaison between the Customer Service Department, National Account Customers, Shippers and various branch departments to ensure a smooth relocation process that meets with customer and account expectation. Customer Service skills are key.

Job Duties*

Order Initiation:

  1. Receives relocation authorization from Account and communicates move process with shipper.
  2. Registers all shipments in the L-Center
  3. Works with UniGroup/United Van Lines/Origin Agent to set up survey
  4. Obtains final survey results and works up shipment pricing
  5. Presents written pricing to accounts and private shippers to obtain relocation approval

Customer Service:

  1. Maintains contact with shipper and account during relocations process
  2. Coordinates relocation with Forwarding including interaction with origin and destination agents.
  3. Manages each move from beginning to end with clear focus on customer service
  4. Follows up on all claims
  5. Maintains professional level of customer service during difficult situations

Files and Reports:

  1. Creates and maintains file on all shipments
  2. Maintains documents and notes all activity in memo pad
  3. Follows workflow tasks
  4. Familiar with Excel and Microsoft Word programs

Billing:

  1. Ensures quotes and all additional service authorizations are approved and in the file so files can be invoiced in a timely manner
  2. Files are transitioned to department supervisor for final costing

Sales:

  1. Interfaces with Sales staff to assist in servicing and securing new accounts
